Breakfast or Bust!

It's becoming a Saturday tradition!

Let's go already!

Ready to head out!

Here we go! Check y'all later!

We love you, Mrs. Norred!

These pictures are so very special to my family. Mrs. Norred is my godmother, and she is in her late 80s. I took Sam to visit her in her nursing home. She has been giving my mom major grief about not bringing Sam to see her. My mom worked for Mrs. Norred and her late husband (my godfather) for almost 30 years. They became family, and we love them so. Mr. Norred used to take me to fancy dinners when I was little. He would let me order everything on the menu and would always make sure they kept the Shirley Temples coming. He would have LOVED my Sambo.

Mrs. Norred is pretty tough and is not crazy about babies. But the minute I brought Sam in the door, she was all over him. She barely said hello to me. :) She loved his red hair.

He was so gentle with her...it's almost as if he knew she was a little weak. I was worried she couldn't hold him since he is so heavy and active, but she was SET on holding him.

He was fixated with her glasses. I tried to distract him, but she said "I don't care...he can rip them off."

But she wouldn't let him chew on her "dirty, old fingers." Sweet Mrs. Norred. She has never been shy!

Final cuddles before we left. We will definitely be back. The other residents really loved seeing a baby. It was touching.

Strollin with some gingers.

Sam went on a walk with Louise. They will be in the same class sometimes at Mother's Day Out in August. They are already pals.

Sam and his cuz.

We went to see Dax the other day. He and Sam had a ball. They are only 5 weeks apart, but that's a big difference right now. Sam is going on 6 months and Dax is a little over 4 months. I cannot wait until they are old enough to really play with each other.

Come here to me, Dax.

Sam was crazed about that football. He kept taking it away from sweet Dax and swinging it around like a mad man. I had to fight him for it. He's got a crazy grip.

Sam was all over Dax. We had to be careful that he didn't scratch him. This picture is hilarious to me. We all laughed and laughed.

We found something that would keep Sam entertained so that Dax could play with the football. He boxed that ball hanging over him for awhile.

The were on the move and scooted off the sheet. Sam wore himself out playing and napped big time that afternoon.

Some firsts.

Since we have moved, Sambo has experienced some "firsts" that are worth noting.

He can now simultaneously chew on both feet...although I didn't catch it here. He is quick.

He did some boxing. Daddy was proud!

Smirk. I think Sambo was proud too.

He now does some serious jumping in his jumparoo.

Strolled with Daddy to the Big Blue Bagel for his first Saturday morning breakfast.

Big Boy can now roll over...easily...but only when he wants to.

First trip to the Tot Lot. I grew up going to this park. It is right across the street from Crestline Elementary, where Sambo will go to school. We met my friend Kristina and her little boy Kai. It was HOT but fun.

Why does this picture make me SO SAD. He can sit up in his high chair. :( I don't want him to grow up!!!

First play date! Robert was born 8 days after Sambo. They have met before but were unresponsive blobs at the time.

Hey...I know you.

And Last But Not Least...

Sambo slept in his own room, in his own crib, all night long. Here he is the next morning. He was happy and rested!

Water baby.

Sam absolutely went crazy in the pool. He loved every minute of it. He was kicking and splashing and dunked his face in the water a few times. Not sure he liked the taste of the salt water, but it didn't slow him down.

Buddy and his grandbabies on Father's Day weekend.

Susu bought Sam a 6 month swimsuit. It wasn't happening. It barely fit around that head. We borrowed one of Randall's for the day. It was a little big but did the job.

Catching some rays by the pool.

Just floatin.

Napping under the umbrella with Mommy.

Waking up happy and ready to swim.

Loving on my Daddy.

Definition of chill.

Sambo would have let me pull him around in the shade on this float all day long. He was more than relaxed.

My Sammie Man

We have been crazy crazed over the last several days with the move. It's been insane, but I wanted to post a few pictures of Sambo...even if they are more than a week old now. By the way, he rolled over...back to front first and then front to back. Yay Sambo!!

Monster man in his monster pajamas! I love his expression here.

Monster feet!

We know what Sambo is doing. This picture is too funny not to post. His POO face! He will kill me one day for it.

Happy birthday, Tee! We celebrated by taking Tee to lunch, and she showed him off to her coworkers.

Smiley Sammie. Tee got him this octopus outfit.

Sam is shocked that his nights are numbered in McCalla. But we know that he will love his new home.

Self-picture with Mommy. I love her iPhone and turn into a zombie when it lights up.
